It is not commonly known that Chartered Building Surveyors have much of the training and experience associated with architects and architectural technicians. As a profession we tend to specialise in rehabilitation, modernisation, conversion and extensions to buildings and this type of skill is particularly suitable where design input is less significant than a detailed knowledge of building construction and the way in which existing property can be refreshed, altered or improved.
The particular work in which we specialise generally calls for traditional drawing board skills but we also have access to computer aided design where it is found to be necessary or appropriate for any particular scheme.
We are qualified and experienced in taking projects through from the design stage to planning, building regulations and thereafter to contract supervision and settlement of final builder's accounts. We are able to offer all or any one of these functions to suit our clients' requirements whether they be in the commercial or private sectors.
Projects completed over the years include new build hotels and factories, refurbishment of public sector housing and any number of extensions and alterations to private dwelling houses of all types and age.
Our initial consultation is without either fee or obligation and would normally involve a visit to the property and a discussion with our prospective client.
